Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach is back in Manila and has arrived before noon of Good Friday via Eva Air flight BR 217.
Wurtzbach who is currently based in New York as part of her official duties as Miss Universe will be in the country to do shoots and product endorsements. She is also expected to crown her national successor via Bb. Pilipinas 2016 on April 17.
In a press release by the Miss Grand International Organization through their account, it states:
With immediate effect, Miss Anea Garcia will step down from her position as Miss Grand International 2015 due to unable to fulfil and follow the contractual agreement with Miss Grand International Organisation.
We are pleased to welcome Miss Claire Elizabeth Parker to take over this honourable position and continue the honourable duty as Miss Grand International 2015.

After the disqualification of Janelle Olafson comes a new Binibini 1 in Gail Ventic.
Gail hails from Angeles, Pampanga and was a candidate of Bb. Mimosa 2012. It would be tough to headline the 40 girls but rest assured this KF lady would try her best.
He had long passed his title to his successor, Pedro Mendes during the Mister International 2015 Coronation Night held last November 30, 2015 in the Philippines but Neil Perez (Mister International 2014) still remains to be one of those visible crowned titleholders of male pageantry.
In countless times, he has joined the reigning Misters 2015 winners: Karan Singhdole, Don Cochico and AR Dela Serna through their respective activities. He has also did his own events and eventually going went out of the country like in Singapore to take part at the Dream Girl event with his mentor, Mackoy Manlapaz of Gouldian.
He would also be back at the Misters 2016 The Pageant crowning the winner of Mister International Philippines 2016 (Mister International Philippines 2015 Rein Villareal transferred management to Gentlemen of the Philippines right after competing in Mister International 2015, making Neil still visible with the events of PEPPS – franchise owner of Mister International in the Philippines).
Neil does not settle for anything less and with the title under his belt, rest assured that he would be one of those Mister International titlists that would remain in the hearts of pageant fans for a long period of time.
After the disqualification of Kim Ross Delos Santos (Binibini 20), another lady in the competition has already been booted out, Janelle Olafson (Binibini 1) is out of the competition due to the racy photos that was seen by pageant officials.
Janelle is reportedly joining the screenings of Miss Philippines Earth 2016 where she is under Kagandahang Flores.
With the Binibini 1 vacant, will Janelle be replaced?
Another lovely lady set to take Binibining Pilipinas 2016 by storm is a doctor herself in Angela Lauren Fernando.
Binibini # 3 hails from Lubao, Pampanga and is a graduate of Medical Technology and Medicine in University of Santo Tomas. She is now a licensed physician.
Angela was a campus queen in UST as she was crowned as Miss UST Medical Technology in 2007 and Miss Thomasian Personality of the Year in 2008. She was also an elemental queen during the Miss Philippines Earth 2010 as she bagged the Miss Philippines Earth Eco Tourism crown and served as an Earth Warrior during the time of Miss Philippines Earth Kris Psyche Resus.
Angela is competing in the Bb. Pilipinas 2016 Pageant with the hopes of bagging the Miss Universe Philippines 2016 crown.
Barely a month away before new queens are crowned, there is always a question on how many crowns would be given away in the 2016 edition of Bb. Pilipinas: The most common answer to that question is: 6 (Miss Universe Philippines, Bb. Pilipinas International, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International (Miss Grand Philippines) and Bb. Pilipinas Tourism).
It may get into you that face of, (DUH!) Why keep that Tourism title that really sounded like nothing in the first place. It seemed like Miss Globe franchise for 2016 is not yet final and surely, Ann Colis can crown one lady in the nationals with the Tourism title.
Another question that may unfold, will Parul Shah do another farewell walk for being Miss Grand International 3rd RU?
