FoodTrip 101: A Stop at Yasubei Bar and Restaurant

They say Filipinos really have diverse culinary tastes: we tend to be hooked with various cuisines and aside from our own Filipino dishes, another one that mostly tops our list when you survey around  is  Japanese Cuisine: Yasubei Bar and Restaurant is this blog’s first feature for FoodTrip 101 of The Pageant Hub.

Yasubei sets itself apart by giving the authentic Japanese flavor to every dish, something that we look for whenever we eat. You are assured of getting personalized service once you try their dishes with staff members catering to your need.

Yasubei is a Consumer’s Choice Awardee last year, more than just being a Japanese food stop, they were a “choice” stop, to know what you can order there, here are a few

:For me one of the best pairs, if you would dine out would be ramen and tempura, enough to fill you after work or even on a crazy day. Their ramen consist of various variants from Shoyu Ramen, Miso Ramen, Seafood Ramen et. al, while their tempura consists of favorites such as Ebi (in photo), Mix Tempura and Kani Tempura.

A Japanese meal is usually highlighted with sushi rolls and Yasubei has a lot to choose from:

A personal favorite and a hit when you enter a Japanese restaurant such as Yasubei: Yakisoba 🙂

To my surprise, I even asked another dish that I saw, it turns out they would also want to cater to the Filipino flavor:

On the menu, they also have calamares and crispy pata as well as other sisig variants: Tuna, Chicken and Pork.

If you are on a group and you would want to go on set meals, you may also do that by ordering bento or the usual donburi toppings (katsudon, gyudon, oyakodon).

Yasubei  also played host to various pageants, like Miss Republic of the Philippines and Mister International 2015 which was hosted here in the country last November 30, 2015.

For this year, they would also be one of the sponsors of Misters of Filipinas, whose 4th year will be starting on July 2 with its  Manila Casting Call.

Neil Perez, Mister International 2014 and reigning Mister International Philippines 2015 will be welcoming again the candidates for Misters of Filipinas 2016

If you happen to stop by Macapagal Avenue and are in to satisfy their Japanese cravings, then you would definitely enjoy Yasubei Bar & Restaurant.
